Day 1: Exploring the Historic Sites
Barcelona is the provincial capital of Catalonia and enjoys a history, beautiful architecture, and a well-developed coastline. Therefore, if you are intending to spend three days in this wonderful city it is recommended that you stick to the following plan.
Morning: Visit the Gothic Quarter
Leaving Gothic Quarter is a great idea in order to start a new day. Wander around its maze like medieval streets with shops, cafes and places of interest. Here you have to go to the Catalonia Cathedral for which construction started in the 13th century. It will be right to spend more time here just to look at the architectural works done to the building and use the staircase to get to the roof so as to get even better view of the city.
Afternoon: Antoni Gaudí’s Works of Art
That bright fancy which has ever cheered the people will not be complete without going to the city and view the architectural wonders of Antoni Gaudí. Take a walk in Park Güell – an attraction point of UNESCO in the city -, the ceramics that are in this place, its spirals and the view of the city. The following stage should lead you to two more Gaudí’s housing complexes on Passeig de Gràcia: Casa Batlló and Casa Milà.
Evening: Watch the Magic Fountain Show
You should not miss the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc before you concluded your first day tour in Barcelona. One well-known fountain in Madrid is the Cibeles Fountain located directly in front of the City’s National Palace, which had a light-washing, water-squirting show on the regular. It also has music and is a sort of magical show which I would be sorry to miss.
Day 2: About the Culture of Catalonia
Morning: Explore the Picasso Museum
Day two should start with a visit to the Picasso Museum because it contains one of the largest collections of Picasso’s artwork in the entire world created by the famous Spanish artist, Pablo Picasso. They will include the main stages of his work and give you more information about the principles he is adherent to in his work.
Afternoon: Indulge in Catalan Cuisine
That’s why going to Barcelona without trying some of the seafood would be a big sin. Visit a restaurant in the local area and take a paella, tapas or a Catalan roast meat at an oleotel restaurant. And do no forget to try a glass of sangria or any wine that you come across with that is a speciality of the place.
Evening: Stroll Along La Rambla
They provide you no purpose to chart besides to finish your day in La Rambla, the most famous street in Barcelona. As you progress on the level sleak through performers, flower sellers, cafes, etc. You shouldn’t also fail to go to a shop of different types of food known as Boqueria Market; I will be fascinating to take something Spanish to taste.
Day 3: Relaxation and Beach Time
Morning: Visit Park de la Ciutadella
The first thing that you are going to visit is the Park de la Ciutadella, which is the largest park in the city’s district. Wander around its gardens tentatively, rent a boat to move around on the lake or simply lay on the lawn and have a meal boxed. Shall you also visit the beautiful Cascada Monumental both a great fountain conceived by the maestro Josep Fontserè.
Afternoon: Sagrada Família Experience
I usually were in Barcelona for a long time and every time I attempted to get to the most gorgeous basilica of the city – Sagrada Familia. Learn about the famous but still unfinished masterpiece of the famous architect Antoni Gaudí – the Sagrada Família; it contains a museum. It will be useful in order to avoid long queues to buy tickets to purchase your tickets beforehand.
Evening: Sunset at Barceloneta Beach
Barcelona trip must come to an end by visiting Barceloneta Beach as is it the most popular one that is located in the city. Play into the Mediterranean Sea or lie on the pale yellow sand or even have a good drink at the any of the sea view bars. Do not let the night come before you can go to watch the sunset by the sea side.
Conclusion
Barcelona I find most interesting since it is endowed with history, culture and nature pride. This 3-day itinerary is therefore ideal for someone who wants to have a hint of which areas the ‘best’ city to visit is. This can be worn in causal outfit/comfortable shoes, drink water and do get to see colorful Barcelona out there. Enjoy your trip!
